The litter problem is ever evident to any passer-by on any street, path or green space all over the UK. Many people find it frustrating, yet do not know there are local resident/family/professional actions being undertaken to help clean up your local area in Cardiff.
Community/volunteering litter picks have been an exceptional way to meet your neighbours, build local links, learn about local information, other groups or local history etc. and reduce the litter levels in your locale! Improving our urban and green space is one of the most important and pivotal tasks of this era! In our fair little city many districts have now established their own Tidy Towns voluntary bodies (which are supported by Keep Wales Tidy) which has helped improve a lot of local/social links. Please do get involved!
Below are some links of local community gardens, local tidy towns groups and biodiversity/nature organisation links to help encourage you to get involved in local activities (hopefully some of these are near to you!)
Ref: Massive thanks to Lorna from ‘Love Where You Live’ for input on good proportion of this list! AND permission from all Tidy groups for allowing their presence to go on the list! Thank you all !!
