Ash Tree

The Ash Tree in the UK is under serious threat. This is something that should be taken very seriously. The Davius Nursery attempts to grow seedlings, where possible to try and encourage reversing the decline of the UK Ash Tree species. Obviously much more than this must be undertaken. Biological monitoring, liaising with Local Government, Charities (Woodland Trust, SEWBREC etc) to highlight the impact of Ash Dieback which is killiing millions of our UK Ash Trees – must be undertaken to attempt to improve the situation.

Sycamore

The Sycamore tree is (Acer pseudoplatanus) is technically an imported tree from 500 to 2000 years ago – and has become part of the ecological furniture of the landscape. A decent subsidiary tree to our original UK stock of indigenous original trees.

Easy to propagate once at an established maturity – an abundance of fruits and flowers which wildlife adore.

Great hardwood resource for building short term products, burning fuel to heat your homes/work space!

Once you put one of these in the ground, once matured – it will create many new Sycamore seedlings which you can grow in pots and continue the next generation of Sycamore trees!
